About the Global Peace Festival Foundation

The Global Peace Festival Foundation (GPFF) addresses the most urgent issues of our time as a movement of common cause and reconciliation among people of all cultures and faiths. GPFF holds that all people are endowed by the Creator with equal value, and therefore share a common heritage. This is the original source of human rights and human dignity.

GPFF celebrates and promotes the vision of One Family Under God by building interfaith partnerships, vibrant families, and a culture of service and peace. Using a multi-sector approach combined with this unifying vision, the Foundation’s activities and efforts are making significant impact on every continent.

The Global Leadership Council

The Global Leadership Council of GPFF is comprised of internationally recognized leaders in business, philanthropy, government, entertainment, and faith-based social action who share the vision of One Family under God as a model for peace.

Members of the Global Leadership Council play an active role in strategic planning, resource development, and assessment of performance in relation to Foundation objectives of facilitating intercultural and interfaith cooperation, strengthening families, and fostering a global culture of service.

A CIVIL RIGHTS LEGACY

Atlanta has played a central role in the U.S. civil rights movement of the twentieth century. The nation’s most prominent civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was born in Atlanta, graduated from Atlanta’s Morehouse College and served as pastor at the city’s Ebenezer Baptist Church. Dr. King’s legacy in Atlanta will be honored at the Global Peace convention by the representation of diverse faith leaders from around the world.

ATLANTA: A COSMOPOLITAN HUB

A center for services, finance, higher education, information technology, and government, Atlanta is also the headquarters of CARE, Habitat for Humanity, and Points of Light Institute. Atlanta has emerged as a leader for corporate social responsibility initiatives that are altering the business mission of corporations to include concerns for the environment, employees, and communities in places of business.
